The Yabsley is ideally situated in Shaws Bay where the Richmond River meets the sea.

In less than three minutes walking time you can be sitting on Lighthouse Beach, fishing in the Richmond River, paddling in Shaws Bay Lagoon, sitting in the dining room of a nearby resort or having a pleasant lunch in a headland cafe.

In less than ten minutes easy strolling along the rivers edge you can be on the lawns of the Shaws Bay Hotel or enjoying fresh seafood at a BYO Italian restaurant.

The house has been designed with three very private courtyards so that you can enjoy sitting in the sun, having a barbecue or just reading without disturbance from other guests.

A guest lounge is available where freshly brewed coffee can be enjoyed around a fire in winter, watching television, reading or relaxing.

A sumptuous breakfast is supplied. You can enjoy eating either in the open plan kitchen or in the private courtyard. Dinner and lunch can be provided at a small additional charge. Our menu takes advantage of local seafood and fresh tropical fruits.

We also can prepare a barbecue pack of steak or chicken and salad if you would like to use the house barbecue or picnic at one of the many nearby parks.

• Byron Bay is only twenty minutes drive along the coast
• Lismore, a regional city is 38km west of Ballina
• Scattered en route to Lismore are many small villages abounding with craft shops and places of interest
• The Border Ranges are only 100km drive and offer many excellent walks
• Climbing Mount Warning near Murwillumbah, offers spectacular panoramic views of the Northern Rivers area.
